Koburg - 'Requiem'

KOBURG is a symphonic rock, multi-instrumental, solo artist based in London, UK.

She already has two albums under her belt; namely ‘The Enchantress’ and ‘Position Of Power’. Both received rave reviews and extensive radio play.

Koburg performs all vocals and instruments herself and has taught herself to play both cello and violin during lockdown to add more orchestral components into the mix!

The single ‘Requiem (2022)’ is out now, and is mixed by Evan Rodaniche (Powerman 5000) and mastered by Ted Jensen. It will be available via digital platforms and on her album FABLES part 1, which was also released on 1 April, as a vinyl, CD album, and digitally.

KOBURG is joined by her backing band ‘Of Koburg & Kin’. Their next live date is at the Hope & Anchor in London on April 16th.

Then it’s The Fulford Arms in York on August 6th, Purity Venue Bar in Wolverhampton on September 3rd and Night People in Manchester on October 1st.

“Requiem is a song about how all too often, when communication has broken down irrevocably, lust is the glue which holds a toxic relationship together”: Koburg.

Robin Miller - 'The Long Road to Gortantaoid'

‘Beelines’ features thirteen tracks of deft melody-driven fingerpicking. It is a natural sound with little adornment and an effortless way in simultaneous melody and open-tuned chordal parts.

The tracks hint at the holy trinity of 60s British fingerstyle guitar (Bert Jansch, Davy Graham, John Renbourn), display a touch of Hebridean heritage and bring in influences from around the world.

“Although the album is instrumental I had fairly clear ideas about what I wanted each tune to say emotionally or in relation to the musicians who have inspired me. I hope that this can be wordlessly conveyed to anyone listening – hopefully the melodies and emotion come across more than the technique.

Buried By My Heartache - 'Chains'

Buried By My Heartache are more than just a band, they are a family of brothers, bound by their love and passion of music.

What originally started as a couple of friends jamming some musical ideas, Jason ‘Jazzy Cal’ Joyce and Michael ‘Chippy’ Chipperfield soon realised that the music they were writing had so much more potential.

Joining them was Matt Haynes, Jo Lawless and Matt ‘Munkey’ Wood, the band’s song catalogue soon began to grow and flourish.  Whether it’s Munkey’s powerful vocals, Chippy’s trembling drum beats or the melody of the three residential string family,

Buried’s love and passion for playing music is shown through their head on spirit and can do attitude.  Having recorded their live EP and played a highly received show in December, Buried By My Heartache are more than ready to bring their music to the world and to a stage near you.

Upcoming gigs:

July 8th & 9th The Coalville Metal Invasion – The Victoria Bikers Pub – Coalville Leicestershire

New performance videos up on YouTube now.

Neil Peters - 'Consumption'

Inspired by guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page and John Squire, Croydon born Neil Peters started playing guitar in his mid-teens and played in numerous bands in the London area. In the year 2000 Neil moved to Budapest, Hungary to broaden his horizons both musically and personally.

Whilst in Budapest, Neil played in several different bands with international line-ups, and had the opportunity to play some notable gigs, supporting famous Hungarian bands and playing the Sziget festival.

Now residing in Vienna, Austria, Neil is set to release his debut EP Seasons Change. The concept of the EP is a look through the eyes of someone going through a relationship from the heady and intoxicating beginning (Consumption), feeling of anger and disappointment at things turning sour (Cure or Kill), a sense of introspection at the knowledge that the relationship is over (Seasons Change) to the realization that things will get better (The Shore). The idea is that each stage of the relationship correlates to one of the four seasons.

The Seasons Change EP, backed by the single Consumption was released on all streaming platforms January 2022.

Liberty Lies - 'As the Blind lead the Blind'

‘As the blind see the Blind’ from the EP Fracture

Hard Rock band from The Black Country, England.

Formed in 2010, though the similarities to the band today stand in the three original members and the name alone.

Those three teenagers played covers of their favourite bands in pubs and went on to share stages with many of them. Amassing a devoted fan base of their own, playing countless shows in every corner of the UK and Europe.

Liberty Lies showcase this best on their second full length album, ‘It’s The Hope That Kills You’ where those traditional influences fuse with a harder, more alternative edge.

The album received critical acclaim, each of the singles playlisted by the likes of Planet Rock & Kerrang, and their best selling headline tour to date was on the way… when Covid-19 hit.

Like many others, bouncing back from the pandemic was hard but Liberty Lies return saw all previous records smashed with their single ‘Find Me.’ A stellar performance at Bloodstock Open Air festival followed shortly after and set the wheels back in motion once again!

With the album production now being handled solely by the band themselves, they have their destiny in their own hands and will aim to release nothing short of their best work. What happens from there, time will tell.

R John Webb - 'We are the Subterraneans'

R John Webb is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter whose genre-defying songs have been described as surreal, profound and sometimes (but very rarely) funny. He brings music to audiences through various characters such as the manic, southern gospel preacher leading Rhino & The Ranters.

His latest creation is the time-travelling rock lord, Dandy the Vandal, who has arrived in 21st Century Britain from the 1970s to save it from its inevitable collapse. He’s an unapologetic rock God with the pomp and swagger of those infamous rockers drawing influence from the sounds of the 70s and along with his band of misfits, The Godforsaken Sweethearts, is releasing his debut album on Birmingham label Catch the Buzz Records.

Deritend - 'Money Talks'

We are a Birmingham band that is a mixture of bluesy rock, alternative rock and a few soft numbers were not confined to one or two genres we just create music and what comes out is the end product.

Jimi Hendrix, Oasis, Artic Monkeys, The Killers, The Strokes, Miles Kane, Gary Clark Jr, the Rolling Stones and the Beatles are massive inspirations musically to us.

The band was initially created in 2019 without a name by Sean Costello and Sam Stokes in Birmingham and during that period we were creating music with two other musicians who are no longer part of the band. Lockdown played a huge part in the crumbling of the original line up. Sean Costello I sing lead Vocals and play Guitar too and Sam Stokes plays the Guitar and is also on Vocals.

We managed to find a new Drummer and a Bass player and backing vocals and we managed to successfully create our self titled ep Deritend in December and it was released in late January.

Deritend the band name is named after the working class area of Birmingham where we rehearse and it has a cool music scene.

Smokin' Eskimos - 'Nature'

Smokin’ Eskimo are a 4-piece originals band from Bilston, West Midlands.

Combining a blend of blues & rock styles, they cater for a wide range of listeners. The band consists of Chris – Vocals & guitar, Jim – Bass, Jake – Drums & vocals and Connor – Harmonica.

Their lyrical content covers many aspects of modern life; from deep thoughts of the universe to taking a drive through the countryside.

These are complimented well by a solid backline and memorable, exciting riffs to get you on your feet.

BEDSIT - 'Go Outside'

“Go Outside”, the debut single from Bedsit, is set for worldwide release on Friday, April 15th via new independent label FOREVER UNDERDOGS.

Combining their powers following the dark months of lockdown, a melting-pot of Hull’s punk and alternative rock veterans have crafted a stunning and intimate set of outrage and anguish. Inspired by the paramount sound of 90s rock, Bedsit strive to be a force of good – exposing their passions and insecurities – seeking to connect with people through their songwriting and live performance.

The desire to start something exciting and revitalizing during these uncertain times is a key motif throughout “Go Outside”, a major factor in the band’s selection of the debut single. The lyrics evoke our childhood innocence, long since suffocated by the stress and drudgery of modern times. The video, shot by Rob Moses and produced by the band, drags us through the conflicting emotions of an unstable mind, before finally collapsing in an uncertain and tired chaos.

Recorded and mixed at Hull’s own Unit 45 Recordings, the song was mastered by Pete Maher, who’s recent projects include The Pixies, Nick Cave, U2 and The Rolling Stones.
