Damn The Wolves

Emerging from the South West of England (Cornwall) is new pop-rock-punk-indie trio Damn The Wolves with their debut single also titled Damn the Wolves which is set for release on streaming platforms on 11th November.  Impact date November 25th.

The band members, having previously shared stages with the likes of Thunder, Ash, Dr John, Feeder, The Blind Boys of Alabama, have been on an extraordinary journey of discovery. Building a recording studio in singer Jody’s garage the months leading up to the Covid pandemic, the trio then spent the ensuing time honing and creating the band Damn the Wolves –punk rock energy surrounded by an 80’s pop ethos.

The song Damn the Wolves is unapologetically honest, cursing the lives we find ourselves in and the wolves we are haunted by. An array of hooks pushed forward by soaring guitars and an energetic tempo, this first single by the band was recorded in their studio, mixed in the US by Matt Dougherty (Megadeth, 3 Doors Down) and mastered in London by Pete Maher (The 1975, Depeche Mode, Jack White).

Again, taking garage rock literally, an accompanying music video, filmed by award-winning filmmaker Gareth Bartlett, was filmed in guitarist Rick’s garage!

Jody states “We’re super excited to be getting close to unleashing the sound of this band after spending time honing to the point where we are now content with it and the music saying what we wanted it to”

“We’re hoping that the inherent loneliness and isolation, partly fed by the pandemic, alongside the eventual glint of belief and optimism within the songs connects with people and they come and join us on this journey” Rick explains.

Brett adds “It’s been an insular time of exploration and experimentation and we’re pumped to be at the stage of people getting to hear what we’ve been up to”

Band members:

Jody Martin – Vocals and bass
Rick Martin – Guitar, Synths
Brett Stepto – Drums

Rogue

A truly international band from Belgium and South Africa, 10 Rogue have been making huge inroads on the music scene through their own blend of metal-rock, fused by heavy riffs, deep grooves and melodic vocals.

With members of the band having a wealth of experience such as supporting Bon Jovi, being a finalist in a national radio songwriting contest and even shutting down Simon Cowell

in front of millions, 10 Rogue now release their new single Hell To Pay.

Details on this along with further information on 10 Rogue can be found via the links below.

22 Hertz

Toronto’s Industrial Rock band 22HERTZ was created by Ralf Muller out of the ashes of his former heavy metal band ‘Point Blank’. Ralf handles vocals, song writing, and production duties, he’s also a multi-instrumentalist. Their live line up is rounded of by some of Toronto’s best session players.

When Point Blank disbanded, Ralf went on to a lucrative and successful career in online marketing. It was after attending his first NIN show in 2009 that Ralf’s musical passion was once again awakened and the desire to create music that captured the intensity of NIN’s live performances overwhelmed him. Ralf taught himself how to record, produce and built his home studio. He decided to begin work on what will become the 10 tracks off 22HERTZ’s first full length album, recording and producing all the tracks. Following his first album release (Detonate), Ralf delves into a more approachable, radio friendly sound with his latest single “Get The Hell Out”.

Even though, the sound of the project may not be painted in the typical soundpalette, 22HERTZ incorporates pop elements and hooks into their music; this produces an accessible original aesthetic that blends an abrasive underground sound that appeals to a wide mainstream audience. Ralf put his marketing expertise to work by actively

developing his online presence. Judging by their growing fan base online, it seems that this DIY project is hitting a nerve with music lovers. They are influenced by bands such as Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Steve Vai and Nine Inch Nails.

‘Better Than Worse’ is the new single from Brighton based trio Dirt Royal, released on the 21st October on all streaming platforms.

The track is the A-Side to the recently released and wellv received single ‘Shoot Me Now’. A slight deviation on the short sharp sound of the previous release, ‘Better Than Worse’ is packed with cutting guitar riffs and biting sentiments of melancholy and despair, coupled with a football chant hook that is sure to stick in your head wether you like it or not.

“Give them your life, give them your dreams, they’re gonna throw it all away”.

The Bad Day

The band’s second album came out June 3rd 2022 and is very unique; a 2 part concept album called “The Bad Day”. All the songs flow into each other and tell a tragic story of freedom and love. The first single “Devil’s Lullaby” from the album won Classic Rock Magazine’s Track Of The Week.

Mastered at Abbey Road by Miles Showell who worked on Sgt Peppers and is their vinyl specialist. The album received rave reviews including 9/10 in Classic Rock Magazine and helped them grace the cover and be featured artists in numerous UK and US magazines.

The Bad Day have played major festivals such as the Isle of Wight (twice) and many other UK and European festivals. They also have some very cool headline shows and festivals booked in for 2022 and 2023.

“You” is an 80’s vibe, rock sci-fi, love story written from the perspective of someone waiting for their true love to awake from a deep interstellar sleep. We wrote this very recently (2022) as a full band and immediately set about recording it and releasing as a new single” – Nick Peck – guitarist.
