Growing up in a family that listened to a wide variety of music meant that even from an early age Lauren was exposed to different genres and artists, a different variety of sounds and energies, ect; that really fascinated her and she wanted to learn more about what qualities made a song belong to a specific genre, or a specific band.
Around aged 8, after being taught her first few chords from her older Brother, music quickly became an entire identity throughout most of Lauren’s time at school; it was the skill she had the most pride in and resonated with, so it seemed a natural progression to further her music education by enrolling onto a popular music performance course at Walsall College. She made contacts through the college that would later turn into opportunities to work as a professional musician a year or two after leaving in 2013.
Lauren became a self employed musician when she was 19 and has performed a variety of hotels, ferries and cruise ships, holiday parks, restaurants, bars and clubs in a music career that has spanned so far over 7 years. Lauren’s work sometimes means that she gets the opportunity to travel a lot, her last contract with P&O was a world cruise which had some pretty interesting ports including China, Australia and the States; Lauren has tried to do a rough tally of all the countries she had visited through work and lost count at 30!
Lauren: “If I had to pick a few personal high points from my years of being a professional musician, they’d have to be – at one point in my career I was the only female singer AND guitarist amongst the entertainers in the entire P&O fleet, also performing in front of a handful of celebrities (including Tyson Fury, Roy Walker, Maurice Grumbleweed, Peter Howarth from The Hollies, Jenny Ryan (“Vixen” from The Chase) and more recently in December 2021, being asked to do a support slot for “The South” – a 9 piece band made up of past/present members of The Beautiful South.”
Lauren includes lots of percussive and fingerstyle elements to her playing and mixes that with soulful vocals.
Lauren: “I adore arranging on the acoustic guitar; listening to songs I really like, breaking them down, creating new ways to play them and then also getting to demonstrate those arrangement I’ve created is a real pleasure for me.”
As 2022 approaches Lauren is currently working quite locally on the scene and is seeking to achieve that balance of writing and gigging.
We are Tender Vendetta, a raucous and unpredictable Hard-rock band from Wolverhampton, fronted by Matty Nicholls (vocals), brothers Aiden Hall (guitar) & Jordan Hall (bass) and backed by Sam Hill (drums). We formed in January 2020 just a few months before the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. Feeling discouraged we wrote two songs about the situation; our debut single ‘Know your rights’ which we released on 20th May, and ‘No rest’ which is scheduled for release at the end of July. Our debut single Know Your Rights as aforementioned was written and recorded during the height of the global pandemic. Feeling displaced, disenchanted and that our working-class voices were being more than neglected, Know your rights channels the band’s frustrations over the last two years into a 3.49 cacophony of seething aggression directed at the global political leaders and media that still continue to let us all down.
We eventually played our first live show after the lockdown in August 2021 and have been gigging around the West Midlands ever since. Our music can best be described as an unflinching and unapologetic brand of Hard-rock with “catchy riffs and melodic hooks” that frequently draw comparisons with Sex Pistols and Guns N’ Roses. Our live performances deliver “that old school Hard-rock attitude which we all miss from rock and roll.” We have been described as having an “infectious vibe and energy akin to the original line-up of Guns N’ Roses”, our most obvious influence which stretches to the likes of Alice in Chains, Motorhead, The Beatles and many more.
A song that has inspired songwriters and artists across the decades, since it first aired in the 1960s, now gets a grunge-fuelled, heartfelt retelling from Derby’s all-female alternative rockers.
It’s due for release on June 3rd with an accompanying music video.
“I think I first heard the original track on a TV advert and straight away the lyrics captured me; “Don’t tell me what to do, don’t tell me what to say.. you don’t own me”, this was a woman having a go back at a controlling man. Straight away, I thought of our own original track, ‘Devil’, as it echoes a very similar story.
Even though I absolutely love Lesley Gore’s version of this song, something always seemed missing to me. To me, because it was first released in the 1960s, it was sung and performed with that old-fashioned vibe that a woman should not be angry, they should be polite and pretty at all times, even though the lyrics are going against that. It was almost like she was holding back, through gritted teeth. We wanted to bring back this fantastic song in our own way; with heart-pounding, distorted grunge guitars and the lyrics seemingly spat in anger; in response to the old, kept-woman attitudes.”– Brooke
Since forming in January 2020, they have released four singles and their debut EP, ‘Lunacy’ – all of which have achieved airplay all around the world, including airplay on KERRANG! RADIO, PLANET ROCK, PRIMORDIAL RADIO, TOTAL ROCK, and BBC INTRODUCING. One of their singles, ‘Devil’ achieved ‘Track of the Week’ on BBC Introducing and also made it into the Top 10 of the Greek Rock Charts for four continuous weeks.

Vin Mack has aspired to perform at a very early age. Born and raised in the DC area, long before becoming an anointed Christian singer, Vin performed in street theater, attended Howard University, and even had an opportunity to intern at BET. During the internship Vin had an opportunity to seek a career singing secular music but chose to follow God’s lead. Since then, Vin Mack has been determined to be led and dedicated to singing for God. He spreads hope and wisdom with every passing single, and he’s about to do it again.
He’s surrounded by many family members and friends with strong Christian beliefs, it’s no wonder Vin has remained consistent in his messages, from singing in the choir at his local church to singing and writing his own songs of praise. The latest single “Gotta Get On Up” is an uptempo Gospel infused anthem of hope, joy and confidence in what only God can do. The song begins with a heavy percussive lead then Vin’s crisp voice soars in and blends in with the ever-growing and catchy melodies and harmonies of this song. Allow this song to touch your heart and soul.

If “Love at a Distance” can be considered a prelude to a forthcoming second full-length album, Talon David’s future looks brighter than ever. -Vents Magazine
Love at a Distance is arguably Talon David’s best-recorded vocal yet and the songwriting, working in collaboration with Thornton Cline, promises to expand her audience as never before. I’ll keep following her from here. -Hollywood Digest
There are those among us who possess such spellbinding physical gifts as singers that are capable of taking a merely fine song and catapulting it to a higher level altogether. Talon David does that with “Love at a Distance” and it’s a joy to hear. -Melody Maker Magazine
Talon David, Biography
Talon David is a recording artist and songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. Growing up in a musical household, she first fell in love with singing before even learning to write full sentences. But it wasn’t until her freshman year of high school that she realized she enjoyed writing songs. This opened up a whole new world of communication for her, and in 2017 she got to attend the 59th GRAMMY Awards as the winner of the GRAMMY Foundation’s Teens Make Music Contest for her song “Deep Snow.”
Talon wrote, sang and produced an up-tempo pop song, “Not My Problem” which charted at number five on the Top 100 Euro Indie Network Charts earlier this year.
In late 2021, Talon released her first full length album, completely written, sung, recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered by herself. Genre-less and personal, she likes to call it Miscellaneous.
Talon’s latest single radio release, “Love at a Distance”, co-written with Nashville hit songwriter and 2021 Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, Thornton Cline is scheduled to drop on May 30. Her previous radio single release, “Instincts” reached number six on the World Indie Top 100 charts and the Euro Indie Radio Network Top 100 charts in February of this year.

Luna Kiss are a rock band from Coventry City, UK. Completed by Wil Russell (singer guitarist), Chris Butler (guitarist), Tommy Ogilvie (Bass guitarist) and James Pedley (drummer), the band arm themselves with a latitude of gritty riffs, razor-sharp dynamics and powerful vocal hooks. The band seem to have discovered a new musical sweet spot, where simplicity and intricacy collide.
Luna Kiss have released several E.Ps to date including ‘Conjure and Sin’ (2013) and ‘Gravity’ (2015) but it is only in 2019 that the Coventry quartet’s extraordinary, amorphous vision has truly come into sharp focus. With influences taken from all over the musical spectrum, Luna Kiss exhibit an admirably stoic refusal to be pinned down to one genre. The bands debut album ‘Following Shadows’, released in July of 2019, was recorded with esteemed producer John Mitchell (Enter Shikari/Architects) at the controls, and has pulled off the neat trick of being both highly distinctive, fresh and perfectly in tune with the ongoing resurgence of visionary rock music. The album has been received positively with plays on BBC Radio 1’s rock show and BBC introducing, classic rock magazine dubbed the album “Broodingly gnarly-alt rock”. Luna Kiss are currently working on a new record, set for release in 2020
