Liberty Lies are a Hard Rock band from The Black Country, England.
Formed in 2010, though the similarities to the band today stand in the three original members and the name alone.
The three teenagers played covers of their favourite bands in pubs and shared stages with many of them. They played many shows in every corner of the UK and Europe in order to appease their own fan base.
These bands include the likes of: Shinedown, Halestorm, Thin Lizzy, Thunder, Rival Sons, Alien Ant Farm, Soil, Magnum, Skillet and many more…
Today, the band is firmly cemented in the newly coined ‘New Wave of Classic Rock’ genre. One that takes the influence of all things classic, chews it up and spits it back out with something new and original.
Liberty Lies showcase this best on their second full-length album, ‘It’s The Hope That Kills You’ where those traditional influences fuse with a harder, more alternative edge.
The album received critical acclaim, each of the singles play listed by the likes of Planet Rock & Kerrang, and their bestselling headline tour to date was on the way… when Covid-19 hit.
Like many others, bouncing back from the pandemic was hard, but Liberty Lies return saw all previous records smashed with their single ‘Find Me.’ A stellar performance at Bloodstock Open-Air festival followed shortly after and set the wheels back in motion once again!
The number three has cropped up throughout the band’s tenure and with their third album in the works, it is one which may be do-or-die, now-or-never.
With the album production now being handled solely by the band themselves, they have their destiny in their own hands and will aim to release nothing short of their best work. What happens from there, time will tell.
