The Lunar Keys

For each of their last 3 releases, The Lunar Keys put their little money where their big mouths are – in support of good
causes: ‘Silent Ricochet’ aided the arrival of 600 trees (and counting), whilst ‘Stop This’ and ‘Oxygen Type’ raised
money for the charities Nordoff Robbins and Oxygen respectively.
The release of ONCE will continue this Lunar tradition, but this time – in recognition of your support – we’re offering
you the chance to recommend a charity. So please feel free to e-mail any suggestions to hello@thelunarkeys.com.
We will choose a beneficiary from the entries and support it with £1 for each of the first 250 reviews or airplays that
ONCE receives.
So, if you like ONCE and are good enough to review it in your magazine or play it on your show, please let us know, so
that we can up the tally and big you up on our socials.
ONCE is out on Friday, the 2nd of September 2022.
Recorded by Billy Foster at Snap Studios and mastered by John Davis (The Killers, U2, Royal Blood) at Metropolis, the
song charts everyone’s journey from the loss of innocence to finally facing your fears with others and beyond.
ONCE is not a love song, it is a life song.
Life can be so complicated – innocence is overrated – ONCE you see the light – from the other side.
It is also the first song The Lunar Keys recorded whilst all being together in Snap’s epic live room.
The band are chuffed that ONCE has already been listed on Amazing Radio’s first spin page. Previous Lunar Keys
releases have enjoyed over 2000 plays from more than 250 radio stations including BBC Wales, Amazing Radio and
BBC Introducing, where 3 The Lunar Keys singles enjoyed Track of the Week.

Emily Ewing

My name is Emily Ewing a singer/songwriter, originally from Birmingham. Now living in Worcester.  I’ve been on the Music circuit for many years now. I’ve had a number of plays on radio such as BBC Introducing, which also includes being Artist of the week with BBC Introducing Hereford & Worcester in 2017. I’ve recorded and released several EPs. I have and do collaborate with other musicians.

I have also recorded, backing vocals for Ginger Wildheart and his albums – ‘Ghost in the Tanglewood’ and ‘The Pessimist’s Companion’, as well as various songs for Ryan Hamilton. My brand-new EP ‘Value of Love’ is out now on all digital platforms. It is my fourth EP released. Amongst some singles and collaborations.

Lynx Deluxe

Lynx Deluxe’s Jungleland is a five-song EP that builds its sound around heavy beats.

Judy Pearson

After honing her skills in songwriting over the past few years, Judy Pearson now releases her new single In A Box.

Described as having a blend of emotive lyrics and soft but powerful vocals, you can find more information on Judy Pearson by visiting her website.

Bluebyrd

Bluebyrd are delighted to release their new single ‘Crystals’ on all the usual digital platforms from October 3rd, but would love it if you could play ‘Crystals’ on your show any time from now onwards.

“When the world just isn’t right,
When we’re too scared to think”
‘Crystals’ is a gentle slice of modern folk that tells of a fragile soul navigating a chaotic world, finding strength and solace through her belief in the power of crystals. Like all of us in these unsettling times, she needs to be held, but also to hold on to something to believe in. The delicate lyric is reflected through the acoustic led setting that comprises Chris Rowley on guitar and vocals and Gareth Pask on keyboards.

Recorded, mixed and mastered by Chris Rowley. Arrangements by Bluebyrd.

Fresh from supporting The Christians and also Ian McNabb Midlands-based folk-pop duo Bluebyrd have been described as creators of ‘tunes that glue themselves into your consciousness’, Bluebyrd’s songs cover a myriad of themes including errant lovers, refugees, social media and modern-day paranoias; all delivered through alluring melodies that you can’t forget. Now becoming festival and venue favourites, they have played Leek Blues and Americana, Audlem, and Alsager festivals and venues such as Claptrap, Percy’s,  Albert’s Shed, and The Robin. The airwaves have also been alive with the sound of Bluebyrd, with over 200 plays on UK and international radio stations in 2021/22

Left Hand Man

The real turning point in the evolution of Left Hand Man came with the posing of a question, “Do you want to keep it as a simple acoustic recording, or shall we throw the kitchen sink at it?” Chris Smith (guitars/producer) had been helping Marc Plant (vocals) develop song ideas he had been working on since departing his previous band and the kitchen sink meant experimenting with a full range of sounds and recording techniques.

The next few months saw an ‘anything goes’ approach to writing and recording, combining a wide range of influences, from riff laden alternative rock to stripped back acoustic folk.

Nic Burrows (drums/producer) was added to the line up and his heavy hitting/fluent style gave further texture to the sound and saw the ‘First World Problems’ EP released in August 2015 and Bass player Ben Wade was added for the band’s 2nd and well received album, ‘Strange Creations’ . To help promote the album to live audiences, Dave Cotterill (Guitar) from Marc’s previous band, came on board. The new group of musicians gelled quickly and immediately began work on what would become the band’s upcoming 3rd album “Mission:Transmission”

‘An elaborate tapestry of prowling blues rock, loose-limbed indie and elastic soul’ Root and Branches Review

‘The band seem to be able to turn their hands to anything with a great deal of success. The musicianship and creativity throughout the album helps stand them apart’ Spin Magazine

‘Album of the month left hands down! There’s so much musical genius here that I just need to get to the point. Left Hand Man should be considered just as musically credible as bands like Radiohead and Muse because of this album’ Ryan’s Gig Guide

New Album ‘Mission Transmission’ is out now!

Single by Sunday

Single By Sunday formed in 2015, they cite the likes of Blink 182, The 1975 and My Chemical Romance as influences. Known for their trademarked coloured hair, the quartet combine their raucous guitars, catchy choruses and energetic live shows with a millennial brashness whilst still retaining some of the original mid-80s Pop/Punk attitudes.

The band is comprised of core members Josh Ladds – lead vocals and Jonny Eakins – lead guitar/backing vocals. They are also joined by Joshua Clark – bass/backing vocals and James Madison – drums.

Their style of melodic Pop Punk allows them to embrace their passion for including other musical styles and genres, e.g., synth pop, dance and even 80s Disco. “We just like to explore music and don’t believe that genres should have boundaries.” – Jonny Eakins.

The band have just recently returned from the US where they played at the highly regarded MUSEXPO & Global Rock Summit in LA.

Having completed a mini run of shows with the Foodies Festival, they plan to finish out the year with three more headline shows in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow, which will be there biggest ‘hometown’ show, post pandemic.
2023 will see them return to Germany to pick up on their tour which was postponed due to Covid.

The Stone Flyers

The StoneFlyers project began as a casual, weekly, songwriting and beer drinking hang-out for Mike and Jeremy – two old friends who share life in a small town an hour north east of Toronto, Canada.

Fast-forward 4 years and the band have just released their second album, ‘The Dreim’ – a hard hitting collection of 9 songs with sonic twists and turns. This is unapologetic straight to the point rock music – a mature ideal follow up to their 2018 debut album release.

What started out as just a fun hang out has very quickly matured into a very serious song-writing project.

Just A Jester

Having supported the likes of Van Morrison, performed at Glastonbury 7 times, played with Stuart Copeland from The Police, not to mention playing live on BBC 1 to over 7 million viewers, Tim Whitaker aka Just A Jester has had an illustrious career in the music industry.

Previously promoted by Deuce in May 2022, Just A Jester now releases his twenty sixth solo track Golden Girl.

Fatbwoi

“Fatbwoi is an Indietronic/Acoustic artist presenting a unique, some might say ‘anarchic’, take on the modern condition…

A frenetic combination of observational lyrics and toe tapping grooves…”

PT Gospel Spitter

Early releases like “Understanding God” and “God is Love” established his appeal to R&B and Gospel fans which helped to make his single and music minifilm “Salvation RMX” an audience choice success.

His most recent radio single, “SfTK Remix” was No.1 on Amazon Music and the visual single video “SfTK (Service to the King) The Movie” won 10 IMDb qualified film festivals and was semifinalist for an Oscar qualifying film festival and commercially released on Apple TV.

The original version  of “SfTK (Feat. Emcee N.I.C.E.)” was No. 1 on both BDS Gospel and CHH (launched March 2021) charts the first half of 2021. PT’s other recent radio single “Live in Me (Feat. Miquel)” was in the top 35 Billboard Gospel Indicator; iTunes top 100 Hip Hop US and UK charts, and a 2021 Hollywood Music in Media Awards nominee (Hip Hop). “Kingdom (Feat. Stephen Voyce)” is a unique collaborative work blending the rhythm and Gospel sound of PT with the Montreal-based Nigerian-Canadian Voyce’s smooth pop-Soul blend.  “Kingdom” is set for a digital sales release in January 2023.

Kick The Wicked

Priding themselves on the diversity of their art in music from Metal to Rock to Heavy and Funky, Mark Lanoue, Scott Campbell and Rory Faciane have come together to create a series of powerful tracks in the name of Kick The Wicked.

Although relatively new, band members have worked with or had links with the likes of Richie Sambora, KISS, and Nazareth to name a small few.

Now releasing their debut EP Drag Magnet, which has been described as being the best independent Rock release of the year, Kick The Wicked’s first single from it is Spit It Out.
